Hi I’m Geanine Thompson. I founded MBA Goddess because I wanted to share a process where women and non-traditional applicants like you gain admission to the business school of your dreams so you can fully realize those dreams.

To this day, achieving that dream myself – and the personally transformative experience of b-school will always be a highlight in my life. I applied despite having a non-business background as an English major, an actor, a book editor and a public relations manager. My competition was a sea of Wall Street investment banking analysts and management consultants who had lived and majored in business.

Through the complex b-school application process, however, I discovered my compelling story, my brilliance, and my “why.” I better understood my unique brilliance and gifts to the world, and I believe because of my inner shift, MBA Admissions officers liked what they saw, too. I was accepted to 5 competitive MBA programs including my first choice, the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

I thought I had achieved something, but then came school itself. It was at times a struggle to keep up with the quant jocks and spreadsheet geeks, but again, I found my core strengths and stuck with them. At the end of two years I knew I was prepared for whatever life brought my way.

At the end of school, my unique process that got me noticed in the application process helped me land several competitive job offers, too. (Those quant jocks could move numbers around faster than me, but I could convey my personal brand and tap my interview magic again.) Now I want you, too, to be able to enjoy an awe-inspiring b-school experience.

Your task as an MBA applicant is to market your core strengths well — to tell your story with clarity, insight and passion. Since my b-school days I’ve used the same core branding and story-telling process to become Senior Vice President of Marketing for a premier wealth management firm. These are lifelong skills that you will use over and over, in your personal life and career, and I walk you through them here at MBA Goddess.
